Essence Haul

Essence Haul

So I was able to do a small Essence haul about a week ago.  As you may know I am a mother of two small boys and I'm currently on maternity leave with my youngest. So with that said I like to get the most out of the products I buy and have heard great reviews on the Essence range and for the price I could resist the temptation of grabbing a few items to try out. Here's what i got:

Blush and Powder Brush - RRP $4.95 each from Priceline
These brushes are a great size for traveling or for everyday use.  They are quite soft considering the price. Most of my brushes are either Sigma or The Body Shop brand so considering the quality of those brands and these, the Essence brushes are a steal!

Stays No Matter What 24h Waterproof Eyeliner - RRP $2.50 each from Priceline
$2.50 Each!!! These are amazing. I have never been really good at applying eyeliner but I'm in love with this eyeliner.  Now I when it says Stays No Matter What it means just that. My eye make up remover was having trouble getting it off, perfect if you planning on wearing make up for a long period of time.  I got one in Midnight Black and one in Stunning Brown.

3D Duo Eyeshadow - RRP $4.95 each from Priceline
Im a huge fan of neutral looking make up and thought this would be a great addition to my eye shadow collection. You can either apply moist or dry. The pigmentation of these are great. Think of going back to grab a few more.

Match2Cover! Cream Concealer - RRP $4.25 each from Priceline
I'm a mother of small children and need all the concealer I can get my hands of to cover my dark circle under my eyes. It creamy with a matt texture and the coverage it great. Comes with both light and medium beige which can also be mixed together if needed.
24h Hand Protetion Balm - RRP $1.99
This smells amazing!! I got one in apple cinnamon punch. I only had 3 to chose from but this one was the one I liked the most. I have this sitting on my coffee table in the lounge room and everyone that has seen it and smelt it love it.  My sister even tried stealing it, until I told her the price and she went straight to the closest Target to get her own.

Over all I'm very happy with my little haul, I would have liked to have got more but my local Target store doesn't stock the whole range or the latest additions :( The only other place I could get more Essence products would have to be off the Priceline website as we no longer have a Priceline where I live and again they don't stock the whole range on their website.

Let me know if you have tried anything from the Essence range and what you thought.

Lust Have It - June 2013

Lust Have It - June 2013

My June (Great Gatsby Themed) Lust have It box arrived 4 days ago and to be completely honest it wouldn't be in my top 10 beauty subscription boxes that I have received.  Normally I get really excited when I find it in my mail box quickly go inside to open it and start planning on what I'm going to try first. With this one I opened it, had one look at it and the excitement was gone. I checked to see if all the product that were on the information card were there, closed the box and there it sat on the kitchen bench for the last 4 days. With that said, this is what i received....

Batiste Dry Shampoo Cherry - RRP $9.95 200ml
REALLY?!?! Another dry shampoo. I know its not LHIs fault that I have received 2 dry shampoo samples in previous months from Bellabox but none the less im still unexcited about receiving this product.

Pure Fiji Hydrating Body Lotion Ocean Mist - RRP$29.95, 350ml
Again, I have tried this product before from a previous LHI box when I first signed up but received the Orange Blossom. Although it does smell nice, still not excited.

Real Purity Natural Lipstick in Romantic Red - RRP $15.00(USA)
I'm personally not into wearing bright lips so dont think I will be trying this sample out. It did come with a disposable brush so you dont have to use your finger to apply. The card attached to the sample has a 10% off discount code for anyone that would like to purchase a full size version - www.realpurity.com  Code: RP3

Savi Organic Soothing Cream - RRP $27.95, 60ml
This would have to be the only product I'm excited to try. I like to try use a much organic beauty products as possible. I love the smell and its a decent size sample. Really looking forward to trying it.

Klara H2O Proof Eyeliner - RRP $18.00
This is a full size product. Was going to add it to my large collection of black eyeliners but decided to give it away.

OPI Nail Apps - RRP $19.99
Another full size product. I was excited about this product until I seen the pattern (Shaken Not Stirred). I have no interest in walking around with small martini glasses on my finger nails.
Well that's I received for this month.

Unfortunately after receiving this box i have decided to cancel my lust have it subscription and I have replaced it with the Eco quarterly box instead. I have received one Eco Box in the past when they first come out and loved it. Hopefully the Eco boxes impress me a little more than the monthly boxes but only time will tell!

Let me know in the comments below what you received and what your thought of it!!

Lust Have It – May 2013

Lust Have It – May 2013

The Natural Source Camoflage Colour Lipgloss – 15ml RRP $12.95
This is a full size product. I received this in Wild Orange, not a colour I would pick for myself as it still has an orange tone to it once applied. It seems to be very sticky with a little fragrance to it. Would like to have received a more natural colour but that the luck of the draw with these boxes.

Seacret Buffing Block (full size) - RRP $30.00
Ok so I’m struggling to see how this is worth $30. I recently bought a Gelish nail kit so not sure how much use I will get out of this but a good item to add to the manicure kit.

Paula’s Choice Clear Exfoliating Solution – 118ml RRP $38.00
I received a 30ml sample. It’s an anti-redness exfoliant that immediate clears the skin by reducing blackheads, white bumps and acne. I have a lot of black heads on my nose so I’m looking forward to trying this out.

Nude by Nature Papaw Ointment – 75gm RRP 12.95
This is another full size product.  I love papaw ointment!!  This one has a nice smell to it. Always a good item to have leading up to winter and I’m sure this will be the most used item in this box.

TIGI Elasticate and Recharge Shampoo and Conditioner – RRP $25 each
Not really that fussed on trying this. I’m not really a fan of sachet hair samples as they can be really annoying to get the product out while in the shower. The Elasticate sample is for help weak hair and the Recharge sample is to help dull and lifeless hair.

Overall the box contains just over $55 worth of full size products.  I wouldn’t say this is one of the best boxes I have received form Lust Have It. Did you receive the same box? or maybe a slight variation. Let know what products your interested in trying out from this months box.

BellaBox - May 2013

The May Bellabox has the theme of "Beauty SOS"

The May Bellabox contains:

Lonvitalite C4 Coconut Milk Hydrating & Nourishing Facial Mask - 5 masks $29.00

I have had this brand in one of the subscription boxes previously but have yet to use any of them. I'm looking forward to using this one as it is meant to help with a wide variety of skin concerns from acne to pigmentation.

Suigo Absolute Volume Keratin Treatment - 500ml $40.00

This is a generous 100ml sample pot which is fantastic. I have almost run out of my current hair mask so this was very good timing.  It provides a fusion of strength with its keratin protein ingredient. Weak and brittle hair is brought back from the brink in only 20 minutes.

Bloom Shadow Liner in Emerald Green - $15.00
This is a full size product, gotta love that!! I have this in Ultra Black and I love it. Not sure if I will use it in Emerald Green. It can be used as a eye liner and an eye shadow. It has a unique flat  lead for precision lining or to sweep over the entire lid.  Its creamy texture is long-lasting and minimises creasing.

Manicare Duo Mascara Brushes - 10 per pack $4.99
This is a pack of 10 so another full size product.  There are two different types of disposable mascara brushes in this pack. I received orange and purple. The orange brushes have an hourglass head that separates each lash allowing full coverage. The purple brushes are tiny and would be great for getting the corners of your eyes or for your bottom lashes. I have seen these in a 20 pack which contain a total of 4 different type of brushes, glad I can try them out in a smaller pack first before buy 20 of them.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo - 40ml $25.95
This is a 3ml sample. This product is meant to provide 24 hour hydration whilst removing excess oil and any blockages over 30 days.  As it is only a 3ml sample I will get no where near 30 days out of it but am looking forward to trying it.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Foaming Gel - 200ml $19.95
This is a 15ml sample and is the gel cleanser for the above. Hopefully this will help clean out my large pores around my t zone, I'm always on the look out for a product that will but have yet to find one that works for my skin.

Sanctury Spa Brighting Facial Illuminating Moisture Lotion SPF15- 75ml $19.95
This is another full size product.  This lotion gives instant radiance to even the most sad of skins. You can expect illumination, even skin tone and a lasting dewy finish. I really like skin lotions that contain SPF15 as I love in sunny North Queensland so really looking forward to trying this out.

BONUS Nanoblur - 30ml $29.99
This is a 2ml sample sachet. I'm really happy to have received this sample. It promises to take 10 years off your age - I am not sure I want to look 15 years old but from what I remember I had really nice skin when I was 15 so I'm looking forward to seeing the results.

Well that's it for another Bellabox month, overall I'm really happy with is box definitively got a good variety of products for $15 considering there were 3 full size products totaling almost $40.
